Hi! I’m fitgirlcje. I’m a wife, a dog mom, a daughter, a granddaughter, a little sister, a niece, an aunt, a cousin, a friend. I love my family, but we live 500 miles apart. I am a restless soul, so I absolutely love to travel. I’m a dreamer and a hopeless romantic. I am an athlete: I do CrossFit and I used to play soccer and rugby, run track, and swim. I live for thrills and excitement, I have too much energy to sit around and wait. I’m more of a listener than a talker. I love a perfect sunset, I love the beach, but I hate walks. I love dogs and have a phobia of snakes. I hate movies about animals because they usually end up dying. I love to laugh. Happiness is not an emotion for me, but rather a state of being; I am always happy. I like vanilla better than chocolate, and I love white chocolate over any other kind. I eat muffins and cupcakes upside-down. I love the smell of the bread aisle in food stores. I love the summer. I love a city skyline. I absolutely love entertaining and get-togethers. I’d rather be outside than in, and I prefer warm weather rather than cold, but I love a good power day to ski.
I have absolutely no authority to suggest what you eat – I’m not a doctor or a nutritionist, and I never went to culinary school. I just love food! And I want to share some of the things I’ve found along the way that have been successful with my family and friends. I first started Paleo in spring of 2014, and I was “hardcore” about it for a solid 6 months, and I honestly can say it was the best I’ve ever felt. I’ve been on and off of it since then, and I like to say I’m Paleo-ishnow. I follow the basic guidelines, but I’ve made a few allowances for myself to stay sane and happy – I’m also a firm supporter of “Anything in Moderation”! (We can cover some of my allowances some other time: including alcohol and dairy).
