Keto cocktails

We both know that any health expert is going to say to not drink, especially when dieting. But Keto/Paleo, etc is a lifestyle, right? An listen, just because you have cut down on sugar doesn’t mean you can still imbibe. You just have to be smart about it.

Let’s start with the booze.

Low carb options:

  • Rum
  • Vodka
  • Gin
  • Tequila
  • Whiskey
  • Scotch
  • Brandy
  • Cognac
  • Red Wine
    • Cabernet Sauvignon
    • Merlot
    • Pinot Noir
  • White Wine
    • Pinot Grigio
    • Sauvignon Blac
    • Chardonnay
    • Riesling
    • Champagne
  • Lite Beer
    • Bud Select 55 and Bud Select
    • MGD
    • Rolling Rock Green Light
    • Michelob Ultra
    • Miller Lite
    • Natural Ice
    • Michelob Ultra Amber
    • Coors Light
    • Amstel Light
    • Bud Light
    • Corona

Ok, so you can see where this is going. If you are going to drink, you are likely going for the hard stuff, wine, or light beer. Don’t drink sugary wines like Moscato, Sherry, Sangria, Zinfandel, and wine coolers. Also, stay away from flavored alcohol.

Mix it up

So what are you adding to your drink? Sugar-free is key. Seltzer water, club soda, sugar-free tonic, diet soda, zero-sugar drinks like Bai5, and powdered drink mixes are ideal.

There are plenty of keto drink recipes out there. But be sure to avoid fruit juices and toppings such as syrups and sweet creams.

So there you go. Short and sweet. You already know to avoid sugar. So, keep up the good work and cheers.
